Verification is required in the following cases:

1. for the determination of mass in commercial transactions;
2. for the calculation of levies, tariffs, taxes, bonuses, fines, compensation, indemnities or similar charges;
3. for the determination of mass in the cases provided for in regulatory enactments regarding the uniformity of measurements, as well as for the provision of an expert opinion in court;
4. for the determination of body weight in medical treatment in order to assess and monitor the physical development of patients, diagnose diseases and prescribe treatment;
5. for the determination of mass for the preparation of medicinal products in accordance with a prescription, as well as for the determination of mass in analyzes carried out in medical examinations and pharmaceutical laboratories;
6. for the determination of weight for the calculation of fees in trade and packaging of goods;
